Heather Guidero graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2002, with a BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. After moving to New York in 2002, she worked as a goldsmith with the renowned jewelry company Reinstein/Ross for the next three years. In 2005 she returned to Providence, Rhode Island, in order to focus more on her own jewelry. She primarily uses sterling silver, gold, and select precious and semi-precious stones along with oxidized silver. These materials and techniques also allow the geometry and composition of each piece to exist first and foremost, not to singularly reflect the status of its materials. Each piece is constructed and finished by hand in her studio.
